Patents

We will represent you in:

I. German patent or utility patent proceedings before the German Patent and Trademark Office (GPTO).
What we need from you:

  • Applicant's details, e.g. an extract from the Commercial Register (no legalization or notarization required; copy sufficient)
  • Power of attorney
  • Your application, preferably as an electronic document
  • A certified priority document, if necessary.

Applications must be filed in German. You can also submit your application in your national language, but a German translation must be filed within a term of 3 months. We will be pleased to take care of the required translations and ensure compliance with all relevant terms and deadlines.

 

II. European patent proceedings at the European Patent Office
What we need from you:

  • Applicant's details, e.g. an extract from the Commercial Register (no legalization or notarization required; copy sufficient)
  • Power of attorney
  • Your application, preferably as an electronic document
  • A certified priority document.

Applications must be filed in one of the languages German, English or French. You can also submit your application in your national language, but a translation to one of the languages indicated must be filed within a term of 2 months. We will be pleased to take care of the required translations and ensure compliance with all relevant terms and deadlines.

 

III. Validation of a European patent in Germany
What we need from you:

  • Applicant's details, e. g. a copy of an extract from the Commercial Register (no legalization or notarization required),
  • Power of attorney
  • German translation of the application is required

 

IV. Entry into the PCT national phase in Germany
What we need from you:

  • Applicant's details, e.g. an extract from the Commercial Register (no legalization or notarization required; copy sufficient),
  • Power of attorney
  • Your application, preferably as an electronic document,
  • Filing in German only; up to 30 months from the filing date/priority date of the PCT application,

 

V. Entry into the PCT regional phase for grant of a European patent
What we need from you:

  • Applicant's details, e.g. an extract from the Commercial Register (no legalization or notarization required; copy sufficient),
  • Power of attorney
